How do I wash the brace?

Most braces are machine washable. After washing, hang them to dry in the shade. Please avoid washing with light-colored items, as colors may fade or transfer to other fabrics. When washing with other clothes, use a laundry net to prevent fraying or streaking. *Hand washing is recommended for some products. Please refer to the instruction manual for specific details (instruction manuals are also available on each product page of the Zamst website).

I have heard that using a brace may reduce muscle strength.

There is no issue with using a brace during sports or physical activity. Muscle strength may decrease if you are injured and unable to exercise, so wearing the brace can help prevent injuries and maintain your activity level.

Is there a guideline for replacement?

While the frequency of use can vary, we recommend replacing the fabric and straps when they show signs of wear or stretching. If the Velcro tape does not adhere properly or if the fabric is torn, the effectiveness of the brace may be compromised.

I would like to know how to apply it.

Instructional videos on how to apply the brace are available on each product page of the Zamst website

Should the brace be wound tighter?

First, ensure you have the correct size and follow the instructions in the manual for proper application. Be cautious not to tighten it too much, as excessive tightness can lead to congestion

When I measure the size of the area for the brace, the figure is on the borderline between size S and M. I am not sure which size I should choose.

If the size is borderline, we recommend the larger size.

Will wearing two braces double the effect?

The effect will not be doubled; only one brace should be worn, as wearing two may result in overpressure and other adverse effects

Can I wear my existing size basketball shoes with the "A2-DX" ankle brace?

Yes, you can wear your existing basketball shoes with the "A2-DX" ankle brace. Initially, you may experience some discomfort as you adjust to wearing it, but most people become accustomed to it over time. Additionally, when tying your shoelaces, if you tie them with the same tightness as when not wearing the brace, they may feel too tight. Please adjust the tightness accordingly for comfort.

I am wearing the "A2-DX" ankle brace, but the hard plastic part hits my inner ankle and feels uncomfortable. What should I do?

As a possible solution, please ensure that you are putting on the brace correctly and that it is fully positioned at the back. Even if you have selected the correct size, if the brace is not worn snugly, the position of the guard may shift, leading to discomfort. Additionally, when applying the attached cushion (spacer), do not place it directly on the area where you feel discomfort, as this may increase pressure and exacerbate the issue. Instead, position it slightly away from the affected area to create a gap between the hard part and the area that is being pressed.

Is it okay to wear a brace on both the knee and ankle of the same leg?

There is nothing wrong with wearing a brace on both the knee and ankle of the same leg. However, please be aware that the injured area may have less muscle strength and flexibility compared to before the injury. Therefore, it is important to stretch carefully and warm up the muscles before starting any exercise.

Is it safe to wear the "A1" ankle brace on bare feet?

A1 is designed to be worn with socks and is not recommended for barefoot use. Wearing it without socks may cause the hard parts to come into direct contact with your bare feet, which can reduce the fit and potentially damage the skin due to friction. This may prevent the product from performing its intended function.

Knee

Does wearing a knee brace make it difficult to use your knee?

Zamst products are designed for sports activities, so you may find that it is not as difficult to move as you might worry. In practice, you should be able to move comfortably.

I checked the sizes listed on the website, and they are too tight. Should I go up one size?

The Zamst Knee brace is designed for sports use, providing strong compression to apply firm pressure. If you do not require high compression, we recommend choosing one size larger.

Should the ZAMST knee brace be worn over tights?

Zamst Knee brace is designed to be worn directly on bare skin and is not recommended to be worn over tights. If worn over tights, depending on the material of the tights, the brace may slip off and the desired effect may not be achieved, or the increased thickness of the back of the knee may cause discomfort or pain when bending the knee.

Back

arrow top icon
Can I wear a lower back brace at work and still benefit from it?

The use of a lower back brace may be used outside of exercise. Wearing a brace can increase pressure on the abdomen, stabilize the lower back, and lighten the burden on the muscles that maintain posture for long periods by using the back support (stay). However, over a long time, the pressure on the abdomen may become painful or uncomfortable due to slippage or steam, so please take off the brace during breaks and do light flexibility exercises to relax your back as needed.

Wrist

arrow top icon
Is the "ZAMST Wrist Wrap" or the "ZAMST Wrist Band" better for wrist protection?

The "Wrist Band" and the "Wrist Wrap" are both braces designed to compress and protect the wrist. The "Wrist Band" uses a non-stretch material to hold the wrist firmly in place, while the "Wrist Wrap" is made of stretchable material that wraps around the wrist to apply pressure. Although the specifications are different, the support performance is almost the same, so please choose according to your preference. There is also a thinner type called the ZAMST "FILMISTA Wrist", so if possible, please try one on at a store near you to compare.
